Does CloudCare provide assistance with the NMC Registration?

CloudCare will provide guidance and support throughout the application and can also communicate with NMC on your behalf.

Which IELTS Certification is required and the validity of IELTS?

NMC accepts academic IELTS certificates and not general IELTS certificates. – 2 YEARS.

What is the accepted IELTS Score for NMC Registration?

NMC accepts IELTS academic certificate that confirms an overall score of 7 and 7 in reading, listening and speaking with at least 6.5 in writing. You can achieve these scores in two sittings within six months and no score less than 6.5.

What is the best accepted OET score?

NMC accepts OET certificate confirming score of at least a C+ grade in the writing, and at least B in reading, listening and speaking sections. This can be also achieved in two sittings within six months. Both times the score should not go below C+ in any of the four modules.

Can CloudCare speak to the NMC on my behalf?

If a third party authorisation is provided at the time of NMC application, CloudCare will be able to communicate to the NMC on a candidates behalf.

What is CBT?

Computer Based Test is one of the tests of competence required by the NMC who are seeking registration in the UK. NMC will start testing candidates with the new Test of Competence from AUGUST2021 onwards.

Can we book the CBT Test even if the IELTS/OET RESULT expired?

Once you start your NMC application process within two years of your IELTS/OET, you will be able to apply for the CBT.

How long is the CBT valid for?

Candidates are expected to complete their NMC process within two years of CBT result.

Does CloudCare provide CBT Training?

CloudCare supports nurses to pass the CBT for the first time. You can check our website for further information.

What happens if my CBT IS EXPIRING IN 2 MONTHS?

You are required to have a valid CBT when appearing for the OSCE examination. There will be special guidance on this considering the current situation.

OSCE:

What is OSCE?

Observed Structured Clinical Examination is the second test of competence in order to be able to work in the UK who are qualified overseas. OSCE can be appeared only when you have joined your employer in the UK, and the examination is conducted in centres in the UK.

NMC will start testing candidates with the new Test of Competence from August 2021 onwards.

The objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) will have 10 stations:
A. Four stations will continue to be linked together around a scenario: the APIE (one station for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation)
B. Four stations will test skills
C. Two new stations will be introduced - one will assess the candidate’s values and behaviours and the other will assess evidence-based practice.



Does CloudCare provide OSCE Training?

CloudCare provides OSCE study materials to the candidates before they travel to the UK. This is to make sure nurses prepare for the exam before they land in the UK. We also run OSCE workshops along with standard training.



How to get access to the OSCE group?

To facilitate Education and preparation of OSCE, study material links will be provided to the candidates. CloudCare has used social media platform forums with generous resources. The access is granted for every candidate who signs a service agreement with CloudCare.



What is the difference between NMC and RCN?

NMC – Nursing and Midwifery Council are the professional regulators for nurses and midwives in the UK. RCN – Royal College of Nursing provides indemnity scheme covers against the financial consequences of a claim against for clinical negligence. You need to be a member of RCN to avail this.



Who pays the health surcharge?

There will be no health surcharge for the Health Care Visa Workers. UK Government scrapped this fee recently.



Can I visit my family in India when I pass OSCE?

Yes, you can. It depends on your annual holidays provided it is COVID- dependant.



I am anxious about covid- what reassurances do you or the employers provide?

All the employers provide PPE and have strict guidelines on social distancing and risk assessments in place for the HealthCare Staff.



What are the career path options for a nurse in the UK?

With experience, you could specialise in a particular field such as intensive care or operating theatre work, or become a nursing sister, ward manager or team leader. You could train as a midwife, neonatal nurse, health visitor, or district or practice nurse. You could also move into management, as a matron or director of nursing. With a postgraduate qualification, you could become an advanced nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist, then a nurse consultant. There are opportunities to go into teaching and research
